Dilapidated road irks residents of Shah-e-Hamdan Colony

Srinagar, May 27: Residents of Shah-e-Hamdan Colony in Zakura locality have expressed resentment against the failure of authorities to undertake repairs of main road there.

A delegation from the area led by Shah Anayat Ullah said the road has not been repaired in the last two years. “We face immense problems due to dilapidated road. Due to uneven surface, many locals have suffered injuries. Our vehicles have also been damaged due to potholes. During rains, the roads turn into cesspool in the absence of proper drainage system,” they said.

“While work on roads across the city going on, our colony has been left out. We make a fervent appeal to concerned authorities to look into the matter and undertake repairs of the road,” they said.
