DIG Shahid gets additional charge of SIU Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 06: The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department Tuesday assigned additional charge of the State Investigation Unit (SIU) Kashmir to Shahid Mehraj Rather, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Armed Kashmir, in addition to his duties.

“In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that Shahid Mehraj Rather, DIG Armed Kashmir, will also look after the assignment of SIU Kashmir, in addition to his own duties,” reads an order.

Shahid, a 1999 batch KPS and later inducted into the IPS cadre has served in J&K in many capacities including as SSP Shopian, SSP Ganderbal, and SSP PCR Kashmir.
