DIG Police reviews security situation in Bandipora
Srinagar, Dec 12: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police North Kashmir Range (NKR) Baramulla, Maqsood- Ul- Zaman visited Bandipora district to assess the security situation and held operational meeting with the officers of Police, Army and CAPF.
According to a press release, during the meeting, DIG emphasised the importance of constant vigilance, urging the need for timely and effective operational responses to prevent any potential disturbances and to maintain peace in the district.
Earlier, at the onset of the meeting, SSP Bandipora Harmeet Singh Mehta-JKPS provided a detailed briefing on the security situation, operational preparedness highlighting recent crime patterns and the proactive measures being taken to ensure law and order. Following the meeting, Maqsood Ul Zaman inspected the Special Operations Group (SOG) camp and checked the status of ongoing training of SOG personnel. He also briefed the personnel, stressing the need for regular training and preparedness of police personnel posted in SOG camps.
Later on, DIG NKR Baramulla inaugurated GO's mess. On this occasion DySP Hqrs Bandipora, SDPO Sumbal, DySP SOG Hajin /Bandipora, DySP DAR and other officers of Bandipora police were present.
The visit concluded with a darbar with the officers and officials of Bandipora police at DPL Bandipora, where he patiently listened to their issues being faced by them at both personal and professional level and assured them of timely redressal.
