DIG JSK reviews security on, along Ring Road locations in Jammu, Samba
Jammu, Nov 30: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma Saturday conducted a security review of different Ring Road locations of Jammu and Samba districts.
DIG visited Vijaypur, Sikandarpur Kothey, R S Pura, Bishnah and Phallain Mandal in Jammu district. He was accompanied by SP South Jammu Ajay Sharma, SDPO R S Pura Nikhil Gogna and SHO Miran Sahib.
DIG conducted a deep security review of the Ring Road falling on these areas.
Besides, he also visited the under-construction Toll plaza at Sardarey Chak Jammu. There he met the team and staff of the construction company and discussed various issues regarding the security plan and instructed the representatives of the company to fulfil the basic requirements of the toll plaza like installation of CCTV cameras, Police Post, bunker, Police Morcha, proper light management system etc.
DIG JSK Range also conducted a public awareness programme along the ring road. He requested people to give timely information to the nearest Police Station or Police Post about any suspicious terror activities of bovine smugglers, drug peddlers, criminals, cyber fraudsters and eve-teasers, noticed on and along the ring road.
“J&K Police is always ready to tackle and deal with any incident and to serve the public,” he assured.
DIG JSK Range directed all the officers to redress public grievances in a time-bound manner. “Share all the important contact numbers of Police Posts, Police Stations with the public. Crime control patrols shall be conducted and criminals must be dealt with iron hands,” he instructed. The officers were further directed to brief their subordinates to perform their duties on Ring Road, nakas and vulnerable points with alertness and in a professional manner.
They were asked to strengthen all the Naka points and routine patrolling on the ring road and keep a close watch on anti-social and anti-national elements, a Police spokesperson said.
