DHSK oversees rescue operations after snow avalanche in Gulmarg
Srinagar, Feb 22: In response to the directives of Secretary Health and Medical Education Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah following the snow avalanche incident at Gulmarg, the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, swiftly mobilised its resources.
Director Health Services immediately rushed to the site to personally oversee rescue operations and ensure the safety of everyone affected.
Upon arrival, Director Health Services took charge of the situation, coordinating with rescue teams and providing guidance to ensure a swift and effective response. His on-site presence ensured that all necessary measures were taken to rescue individuals trapped in the avalanche. Top Health officials of the district were also present in Gulmarg with Director Health Services Kashmir.
Furthermore, Director Health Services has decided to camp in Gulmarg to continue overseeing rescue operations and provide any necessary assistance.
Pertinently, in an unfortunate incident at Gulmarg many skiers came under a snow avalanche resulting in injuries and deaths.
