DGP visits Rajouri, Poonch to assess security

Rajouri, Mar 11: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir police, Nilin Prabhat on Tuesday reached Rajouri and Poonch districts for his two days visit of these twin border districts.

Accompanied by other senior officers of police, the DGP reached Rajouri where he visited Thanamandi sub division and chaired a meeting with officers of security forces.

He also undertook a detailed analysis of the anti-terror operations going on in areas of Thanamandi subdivision areas of Rajouri district and Surankote areas of Poonch districts. The police chief visited district police lines in Rajouri and chaired a high profile meeting of officers taking a detailed review of the overall security situation. Series of directions were issued on multiple fronts including investigation mechanism and implementation of new criminal laws. The DGP later flew to Poonch for another security review meeting.
