DGP sanctions special welfare relief

Srinagar, Sep 24: Director General of Police R.R. Swain has sanctioned Rs. 2.04 crore as special welfare relief for NoKs of deceased police personnel /SPO who have passed away while in service.

He has also sanctioned financial assistance of rupees one lakh for the marriage ceremony of a martyr’s daughter.

Rs one lakh each has been already paid to the families/ NoK deceased personnel for performing the last rites as immediate relief by the PHQ through their concerned Unit/Wing. The amount is sanctioned out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund and is one among other various welfare measures of Police Headquarters.

Police Headquarters is running many schemes for the welfare of its personnel and their families. There are also schemes for the wards of Police personnel and SPOs. Besides, there are schemes for the NoKs of martyrs, their wards and also for retired Police personnel and their families.
