DGP sanctions special welfare relief

Jammu, Dec 5: Continuing with its endeavour to provide financial assistance to the families of the police personnel who passed away while in service, the Director General of Police, R R Swain has sanctioned Rs 88 lakh as special welfare relief for NoKs of four deceased police personnel under different orders issued by Police Headquarters.

Special welfare relief of rupees 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of deceased police personnel, HC Wali Mohammd, HC Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, HC (Tel) Tariq Ahmad and Constable Waseem Amin. The relief has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare fund.

Police Headquarters has many welfare schemes operational for the welfare of its personnel and their families including schemes for the wards of police personnel and SPOs, schemes for the NoK of martyrs, their wards and for the retired police personnel and their spouses.
