DGP reviews security situation in Poonch
Rajouri, Nov 20: Director General of Police Nilin Prabhat today chaired a meeting to review the security situation in border district of Poonch.
The DGP chaired the security review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Poonch. The meeting was attended by senior central paramilitary force and Army officers, including General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter Insurgency Force Romeo.
In the meeting, police officers of both the Rajouri-Poonch Police range and the District Police office Poonch briefed the DGP Nilin Prabhat about the current security environment in the district, which includes multiple Anti-Terror operations going on to hunt terrorists suspected to be hiding in areas of the district.
In the meeting, DGP also examined the Kinetic as well as Non-Kinetic Operations going on in the district. A slew of directions were also passed to field forces with a focus on area domination and aggressive anti-terror operations.
Earlier, the DGP was accorded a warm welcome by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu zone, Bhim Sen Tutti, DIG Rajouri Poonch police range, Tejinder Singh and other senior officers.
