DGP Nalin Prabhat reviews security preparedness in Kupwara
Kupwara, Nov 16: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Sunday conducted a detailed review of kinetic and non-kinetic operations in Kupwara, assessing the overall security preparedness of the frontier district.
Chairing a meeting with senior Police and other security officers, DGP Prabhat evaluated operational readiness, intelligence coordination, counter-terror initiatives, and ongoing community-oriented measures aimed at strengthening peace and stability.
He emphasised heightened vigilance along the Line of Control (LoC), noting the strategic importance of the district.
The DGP called for enhanced synergy among all security agencies to ensure swift, coordinated responses to any emerging threat.
He also stressed the need to strengthen ground-level intelligence networks and continue robust public outreach programmes to build trust and cooperation with local communities.
DGP Prabhat directed officers to remain alert, proactive, and focused on both preventive and operational strategies to maintain a stable and secure environment across Kupwara.
