DGP Nalin Prabhat reviews security at FOBs in Kathua, Doda

Srinagar, Jan 29: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, conducted a comprehensive security review during his visit to the Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) along the border areas of Kathua and Doda.

Accompanying him were Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) JKS Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Shobhit Saxena.

The high-level security team assessed the current operational preparedness and challenges along the border. During the visit, DGP Nalin Prabhat interacted with officers and personnel from various security forces deployed in these areas. He was briefed on the prevailing security scenario and the strategies in place to counter emerging threats.

DGP Prabhat called for the focussed execution of security tasks and a resolute approach in tackling challenges. He lauded the special teams for their proactive stance and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the border areas. “The security forces have been displaying remarkable determination in dealing with challenges along the border. Their commitment to operational preparedness is commendable,” the DGP said while addressing the personnel.

ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, underscored the significance of continuous training and capacity building, stressing that enhanced preparedness was crucial to dealing with evolving security threats. He encouraged security personnel to maintain a high level of professionalism and discipline to ensure the safety and stability of the region.

During the visit, DIG JKS Range Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena, and senior officers from the Army briefed the DGP on the latest initiatives to strengthen the security grid in the district. They highlighted ongoing measures to enhance border security, counter infiltration, and address local concerns related to law and order.

The officers discussed collaborative efforts between security agencies to mitigate potential threats and improve intelligence-sharing mechanisms. Special attention was given to the need for enhanced vigilance along sensitive areas and vulnerable points to counter any possible infiltration attempts or security breaches.
