Srinagar, Nov 04: Director General of CRPF, Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen and the Director General of Police, J&K R. R Swain jointly chaired a high-level joint meeting of officers to review the overall security scenario of Kashmir valley at Police Control Room, Kashmir here this evening.

During the meeting, a comprehensive review of all security arrangements for the upcoming winter season was conducted. Field officers presented details on various measures taken to ensure the security and safety of the people.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials including ADG CRPF Kashmir Shri Nalin Prabhat, ADGP Kashmir Zone Shri Vijay Kumar, IG BSF Ftr Hqrs Kashmir Shri Ashok Yadav, and other senior officers from various security forces.

Swain emphasized the need to enhance capabilities to achieve desired results. He highlighted the importance of using modern technological tools to monitor the security situation and directed for launching operations in the higher reaches to flush out hiding terrorists.

Swain also called for the strengthening of the Dial 112 helpline in Police Control Rooms to ensure a rapid response to emergency situations. He stressed the importance of vigilance against the terror support ecosystem that enables terrorists to carry out their nefarious activities and urged coordinated efforts to dismantle the network of overground workers and hybrid terrorists.

The DGP instructed the forces to maintain pressure on anti-peace elements, preventing any chance of terror group revival. He emphasized the need for coordinated training of personnel to handle law-and-order situations effectively.

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on issues related to terrorism, the presence of foreign and local terrorists in higher altitudes during winter, infiltration attempts from across the border, and the creation of a database for uncategorized terrorists. Capacity building, improving communication between forces, and intelligence sharing for enhanced operational results were also discussed.

The officers present at the meeting offered suggestions for anti-terror operations and further strengthening peace in Jammu & Kashmir. In the evening, DGP J&K Sh R R Swain visited Police Station Mirbazar, where he inspected various sections of the station. DIG SKR Sh Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Anantnag Sh.G.K Sundip Chakraborty, SSP Sh Sahil Sangral, and SSP NHW44 Sh Rohit Baskotea accompanied him during the inspection.
