DGP hails J&K Police’s role in border areas during Indo-Pak clash
Jammu, May 16: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat Friday acknowledged the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in the recent Indo-Pak conflict and also saluted sacrifices, courage and resilience of Border Security Force (BSF) in giving a befitting reply to the enemy.
The DGP said this while interacting with J&K Police and BSF officials during his visit to the border areas of Jammu district.
The top cop of J&K was accompanied by DIG JSK Range Shiv Kumar Sharma; SSP Jammu Joginder Singh; SP Headquarters Irshad Rather; SO Rural Brijesh; SDPO R S Pura DySp Gurmeet Singh; SDPO Domana Mudassir; SHO R S Pura; SHO Kanachak, and other officers of Jammu district.
Beginning his visit of border areas from R S Pura sector, the DGP interacted with BSF and J&K Police personnel at various Border Out Posts (BOPs) including Octroi (Suchetgarh), Kharkola as well as Border Police posts of Baspur Bangla and Agra Chak in the R S Pura sector.
He also visited Police Station Kanachak and BPP Sandwan and interacted with officers and cops there.
The DGP acknowledged the role of J&K Police in the recent Indo-Pak conflict and appreciated officers for their active role in handling the situation in the border villages.
This ensured the timely shifting of people from border areas and hence saved precious lives.
DGP Prabhat also interacted with officers and soldiers of BSF deployed on the International Border (IB) in Jammu and saluted the sacrifices, courage and resilience of force in ensuring the safety of our borders and giving a befitting reply to the enemy.
