DGP decorates Nitish Kumar, Anand Jain with ADGP rank

Jammu, Dec 29: Director General of Police RashmiRanjan Swain decorated the newly promoted IPS officers Nitish Kumar and Anand Jain with the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) rank in a piping ceremony held at Police Headquarters here Friday.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that the DGP congratulated the officers and their families and expressed hope that they would continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the department and the people.

He wished them good luck in their future endeavours.

Both the IPS officers have held very important posts.

Kumar has served as SDPO Nowshera, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, SP South Srinagar, SP Handwara, SP Pulwama, SSP Anantnag, AIG (CIV) PHQ, DIG South Kashmir Range (SKR), Anantnag, DIG North Kashmir Range (NKR) Baramulla, IGP Technical Services J&K.

The officer is presently posted as IGP CID J&K.

Jain has served as SDPO Ganderbal, SP East Srinagar, Incharge SP Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, AIG (Prov and Tpt) PHQ, SSP Reasi, SSP Rajouri, SSP Jammu, CO IRP 15th Bn SSP Baramulla, IGP headquarters, PHQ, Director Anti Corruption Bureau J&K.

He is presently posted as IGP Jammu.

ADGP Headquarters and Coordination, PHQ, M K Sinha was also present on the occasion.
