DGP, ADGP L&O, ADGP Jammu, IGP Kashmir extend greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, Apr 9:  The top brass of Police including Director General of Police, Rashmi Ranjan Swain; Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order (L&O), Vijay Kumar; ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi extended greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

DGP Swain extended heartfelt greetings to the people of J&K, Police officers, male and female Police personnel and their families.

He conveyed special wishes of health and happiness to the families of the soldiers who were killed in the line of duty.

In his message, the DGP said, “May Almighty usher in peace and prosperity to each home in J&K. Let all souls emit prayers for the good of their neighbours and the wider community they live in irrespective of caste, religion, and origin.”

He thanked the people of J&K for their unwavering support and cooperation to the Police whenever and wherever J&K Police have tried to do good work with sincerity and honesty.

“Please pray for us and be by our side as we rededicate ourselves with passion and compassion to make our ‘fight to the finish’ against narcotics, terrorism, and gangsterism a success,” DGP Swain said.

ADGP L&O Vijay Kumar also greeted families of policemen killed in the line of duty, all Police personnel, other security forces, and people of J&K on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and wished a peaceful, happy, and prosperous Eid to all. “This Eid teaches patience and I extended warm wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr and pray for eternal peace and prosperity,” he said.

ADGP, Jammu Zone, Anand Jain greeted the people of the Jammu province on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

He also wished all ranks of Police and their families a joyful Eid.

Jain expressed hope that the festival would bring joy and happiness among the people including policemen and their families and the families of policemen killed in the line of duty.

He also directed senior Police officers to make a foolproof security arrangement and put it in place well in advance at all the places where there would be a congregation for Eid prayers.

In his message, Jain said, “The spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr imbues all the people of Jammu province with a feeling of peace and harmony.”

IGP Vidhi Kumar Birdi also greeted the families of policemen who have been killed in the line of duty, all Police personnel, other security forces, and people of Jammu Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and wished peaceful, happy, and prosperous Eid to all.

In his message, Birdi prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of people across Kashmir.
