DG SSB reviews operational preparedness in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 3: Director General (DG) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Amrit Mohan Prasad undertook a comprehensive two-day visit on Wednesday and Thursday to Kashmir to assess the operational preparedness of SSB deployments.

A statement of the SSB issued here said that during his visit, the DG SSB inspected various key locations, starting with the Sector Headquarters (Spl-Ops) in Srinagar.

He received a detailed briefing on the functioning of SSB deployments in Kashmir.

Addressing the soldiers during the ‘Sanik-Sammelan’ and participating in the ‘Bada Khana’, in the SSB units, the DG SSB expressed his appreciation for their dedication and emphasised the importance of discipline in duty within the operational sector.

He reiterated the commitment of the force to maintaining the peaceful environment of Kashmir.

The DG SSB also visited the battalions of SSB in Kashmir, interacting with the deployed soldiers.

Accompanying the DG SSB were DIG Sector Headquarter SSB Srinagar, Imtiaz Ismail Parray and other ground commanders of the SSB, underscoring the collaborative effort in ensuring security and stability in the region.
