Jammu, Sep 12: Ahead of assembly elections, newly appointed Director General (Operation and Security), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Nalin Prabhat and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain Thursday discussed operational and security measures of the region with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Tiger Division Major General Mukesh Bhanwala.

The deliberations aimed at strengthening security protocols and operational efficiency to address any emerging challenge.

PRO Defence Lt Col Suneel Bartwal stated that the deliberations to review security and operational preparedness took place in a high-level meeting at the Tiger Division.

“Director General (Operations and Security) and ADGP Jammu visited the Tiger Division for a high-level meeting with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) and senior officers. The visit focussed on reviewing and enhancing operational and security strategies in light of upcoming events in Jammu,” PRO Defence said.

He stated that the meeting provided a platform for an in-depth discussion on various operational and security aspects pertinent to the region.

DG Prabhat and ADGP Jain engaged with the GOC and officers to ensure comprehensive preparedness and effective coordination among the forces. The dialogue aimed at strengthening security protocols and operational efficiency to address any emerging challenges.

“Both DG Prabhat and ADGP Jain praised the unwavering commitment and synergy between the Tiger Division and other security agencies. Their appreciation highlighted the robust collaboration that is crucial for maintaining order and ensuring the safety of the region amidst forthcoming events,” Lt Col Bartwal said, referring to deliberations in the high-level meeting.

The visit underscored the shared objective of maintaining a secure environment for the people of Jammu, he said.
