DG BSF reviews security situation on IB in Jammu
Jammu, Jan 10: Director General (DG) Border Security Force (BSF) Nitin Agrawal Wednesday reviewed the security situation along the International Border (IB) in R S Pura in Jammu district.
He was updated about the domination strategy of the BSF on the IB by Sector Commanders and Battalion Commandants.
Taking stock of operational duties and other issues being confronted by the BSF personnel in the challenging circumstances in the present scenario, DG Agrawal also interacted with them and lauded their resilience and commitment to duty with utmost professionalism.
Earlier, the Director General arrived at Frontier Headquarter BSF Jammu for a two visit to review the security scenario of Jammu International Border on June 9.
“He was welcomed by IG D K Boora, Jammu frontier and other senior officers. IG briefed DG BSF at Frontier HQ BSF Paloura camp, covering all the critical aspects of border security and domination by the Force on Jammu IB. He also called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha the same day in the evening,” PRO BSF Jammu said.
On Wednesday, DG BSF visited the R S Pura border area where he was briefed by Sector Commander and Battalion Commandants.
“He was informed about operational duties and related aspects troops are facing bravely on the border in R S pura area. DG BSF was updated about the all-round domination strategy of BSF on the IB. During the visit he interacted with jawans and praised them for performing duties with dedication and professionalism,” PRO BSF said.
