DG BSF reviews security situation along IB at Jammu Frontier
Jammu, Aug 22: Director General (DG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Daljit Singh Chawdhary has reviewed the security situation nd operational preparedness of troops along the International Border (IB) in the Jammu Frontier.
On Thursday, the DG addressed Sainik Sammelan at the Frontier Headquarters and asked the troops to maintain effective border domination to prevent anti-national activities.
Chawdhary, who recently took over as DG BSF, arrived here on his maiden two-day visit to the BSF Jammu Frontier on August 21 to review the security situation along the Jammu IB.
“He was received by IG DK Boora and other senior officers of the Jammu Frontier. IG BSF gave a detailed presentation to the DG BSF, covering all critical aspects of border security and domination, including the prevailing security scenario along the IB in Jammu,” PRO BSF Jammu said, in an official statement.
DG BSF visited BOPs and also witnessed the operational preparedness of field formations in the Samba-Kathua sector and Sunderbani sector. He interacted with BSF Sector commander and Battalion commanders on border management aspects.
“On August 22, he addressed Sainik Sammelan at the Frontier Headquarters and praised the troops for their dedication towards border duties and told them to maintain effective border domination to prevent anti-national activities,” PRO BSF said.
