Develop leadership skills: GOC Tiger Division to IIM Jammu students
Jammu, Jul 17: General Officer Commanding (GOC) Tiger Division Major General Mukesh Bhanwala, while emphasising the importance of strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and effective communication, asked the students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu to develop their own leadership skills.
He was addressing the freshers' batch of MBA and PhD students, as well as faculty members, at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu the other day.
During his speech, the GOC highlighted the achievements of the Indian Armed Forces, particularly during Operation Sindoor and their decisive actions in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
“The GOC's speech was not only a tribute to the bravery and resilience of the Indian Armed Forces but also a valuable lesson for the young students,” PRO Defence Lt Col Suneel Bartwal stated.
Major General Bhanwala inspired the students on the topic “Leadership lessons: Battlefield to corporate boardroom” wherein he drew parallels between the leadership skills required on the battlefield and those needed in the corporate world.
By sharing his experiences and insights, the GOC Tiger Division inspired the students to develop their own leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and effective communication.
“The event was a unique opportunity for the students and faculty members of IIM Jammu to learn from the GOC's experiences and gain valuable insights into leadership and management.
