Deputy CM vows action against absent officials

Jammu, Nov 28: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Thursday said that action would be taken against the government employees who are performing their duties with negligence as he found many officials including some officers absent from duties during a surprise inspection of the PWD office complex at Jammu.

The Deputy CM said that the early morning inspection was conducted after complaints against the staff for their absenteeism.

“We were receiving complaints that these employees are not attending their duties after which this inspection has been conducted,” he said as he found almost 70 percent of staff absent from duty.

The Deputy CM said that there would be no compromise with such an attitude and the government would take action against all the employees found absent from duties.

“Now there is a people-elected government in office and the public services delivery system is our priority. So, there will be no compromise with it,” he said.
