Nowshera (Rajouri) Jan 31: In a bid to enhance sports infrastructure, deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday laid the foundation stone for a sports block at Government Degree College, Nowshera.

The project, as per the government spokesperson, with an estimated cost of Rs 208.50 lakh, aims to provide modern training facilities and promote sports among students and aspiring athletes.

The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Babu Ram Tandon, and other district and sectoral officers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the government's commitment towards promoting sports and physical fitness among the youth. He highlighted that the new Sports Block would provide modern training facilities and encourage students to actively participate in various sports disciplines.
