Department of Posts J&K Circle issues Special Cancellation

Srinagar, July 26: To commemorate the sacrifices of the heroes of the Kargil War, the Department of Posts, Jammu & Kashmir Circle issued a Special Cancellation in a function organised in Srinagar GPO Complex today.

Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Jammu & Kashmir Circle released the Special Cancellation on Kargil Vijay Diwas in presence of officers and staff members of Department of Posts.

Chief Postmaster General informed that the whole country is celebrating the 25th year of Kargil Vijay Diwas to pay tributes to the Heroes of Kargil. He said that the Department of Posts is connected with every section of the society including soldiers and security forces. He said Jammu & Kashmir Postal Circle commemorated this day by issue of Special Cancellation which is available at three Post Offices viz Srinagar GPO, Kargil Post Office and Gandhinagar Head Post Offices. He informed that all incoming and outgoing mails on this day will be cancelled with this Special Cancellation.
