‘Department of Archives, Archaeology & Museums to go paperless’
Jammu, Oct 6: A comprehensive hands-on e-Office training program was conducted today at the Directorate of Archives, Archaeology, and Museums in Mubarak Mandi.
“The program aimed to equip employees of the department with the skills to effectively utilize digital tools and technologies, streamlining workflows and boosting productivity to enable efficient management of e-Office services,” the director stated.
The program was organized under the initiative of Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, Director of Archives, Archaeology, and Museums, and thirty employees were trained on the operations, usage, and implementation of the e-Office. The implementation of e-Office will enable the department to achieve its goal of e-Governance and improve the delivery of government services.
The training program covered various aspects of the e-Office application. The session was conducted by Ieshan Sharma, an e-Office trainer from the Information Technology Department (JAKEGA). The trainer provided sessions to equip participating employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate the e-Office smoothly. He addressed difficulties at various levels to ensure that the e-Office is fully functional in the Directorate.
This initiative will help the department transition to a paperless environment in its official operations and further improve its efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness in government responses, ultimately enhancing the quality of administration.
