DEO Kupwara reviews poll-related arrangements in 6 assembly constituencies

Kupwara, Aug 22: The District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of arrangements being put in place with regard to conduct of upcoming General Elections to Legislative Assembly in all six assembly constituencies of district Kupwara.

On the occasion, the DEO took a detailed appraisal from all Returning Officers about the arrangements being made at Polling Stations, Collection /Distribution Centers and designated Strong Rooms in their respective Assembly constituencies. She also reviewed Transport Plan, Communication Plan, Postal Ballot, Home Voting, deployment of teams, Control Room, MCC, SVEEP, Permissions, IT Apps etc for smooth conduct of the election in the district.

Ayushi stressed upon the officers to ensure all requisite/Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at all designated Polling Stations, Distribution/Collection Centres and Strong Rooms.

The DEO directed the Officers to work with utmost coordination to complete all assigned tasks related to the conduct of the Assembly Elections-2024. She stressed upon them to ensure Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at each and every Polling Station viz. ramps, drinking water, toilet facilities as per norms of Election Commission of India. The officers were directed to focus on meticulous preparations to reflect the commitment of conducting a successful Assembly Election in the District.

The DEO emphasised upon the officers to uphold electoral laws, regulations, and ethical standards to ensure the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.
