Demise of academician condoled

Srinagar, Oct 18: The ZIST Foundation has offered its condolences to the family of Prof. A.G. Mir, who passed away on October 17, at around 11:30 pm.

It is pertinent to mention that on the same day, in the evening, Prof. AG Mir delivered a special address to an esteemed gathering at the Radisson Hotel in Srinagar. The event was a Seerat Conference organised by the ZIST Foundation. It was shocking for ZIST members and all participants at the event to learn just hours later that Prof Mir was “no longer with us.”

“This is a moment to remind the entire community that the departed soul accomplished his life's mission of writing a comprehensive book— the first of its kind— on Infaq. In him, we have lost a passionate scholar who dedicated himself to a subject largely ignored in practice.”
