'Deeply saddened': Another grim reminder of unending cycle of violence, says Mirwaiz on Gagangeer attack
Srinagar, Oct 21: Top Kashmir cleric and Hurriyat (M) leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq Monday said he was deeply saddened by the killings in Gagangir area of Kashmir's Ganderbal yesterday.
Seven people including a doctor from Kashmir and six migrant workers were killed even as five others were injured after terrorists opened indiscriminate firing on a camp housing labourers of an infrastructure company constructing a strategic tunnel in Sonamarg.
The head cleric said, the incident is another grim reminder of the unending cycle of violence and uncertainty that "we are suffering for decades," Mirwaiz wrote on his official X-handle.
Deeply saddened by the outrageous killings in Gagangir. Islam, like all religions, deplores such inhuman behavior. Every life is precious, and to be lost in this manner is extremely painful. Another grim reminder of the unending cycle of violence and uncertainty we are suffering…
