Death of woman in Banihal hospital | Inquiry committee constituted

Ramban, Jan 11: District Magistrate Ramban ordered an inquiry into the death of a pregnant woman in Sub District Hospital Banihal and constituted a committee to probe the allegations.

Additional District Magistrate, Ramban Harbans Lal Sharma has ordered to constitute a committee of five officers to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the death of a lady Afroza Begum wife of Zakir Hussain resident of Neel due to the alleged negligence of Doctors and Hospital Staff of Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal.

District Programme Officer, Ramban Poshan, Jahangir Hashmi, will be the Chairman, Zaheer Abbas Bhat, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, Dr Kamal Zadoo, Chief Medical Officer, Ramban and Nasir Javeed, Tehsildar, Pogal Paristan. and Dr GL Manhas will be the members of the committee.

The committee were asked to submit a comprehensive report along with its recommendations to the District Magistrates office within four days.
