Srinagar, Oct 8: To provide political insights regarding the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Doordarshan News organised "DD Dialogue" at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar today.

The DD Dialogue serves as a platform that brings together eminent voices, including political, social, and economic experts, to provide insights and perspectives in the wake of the upcoming assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The dialogue commenced with an inaugural interview featuring Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, who shed light on the changing scenario in J&K. This was followed by lively interviews with Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and former Chief Minister and Vice President of JKNC, Omar Abdullah, in separate sessions. The program also included a series of interactive panel discussions on the political and economic realities of J&K, as well as the scenario regarding the people’s mandate in the region.

The ‘DD Dialogue’ was attended by Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, and Salman Anees Soz, National Spokesperson for Congress.

Other participants in the "DD Dialogue" panel discussions included Prof Gul Wani, senior journalists Zulfiqar Majid and Tahir Mohiddin, Dr Tawseef Ahmad, Secretary of the Rotary Club, RTI activist Raja Muzzafar Bhat, Rafiq Shah, ST leader, Fayaz Ahmad, OBC activist, and social activist Omar Bhat.
