Srinagar, Nov 12: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo Wednesday chaired a review meeting here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office to assess the overall progress of Mission Yuva and various other related initiatives being implemented in the district.

During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the number of cases sanctioned and disbursed under Mission Yuva by the J&K Bank. He laid emphasis on expediting both sanctions and disbursements to ensure timely financial assistance to the beneficiaries.

The DC directed the Bank Officials, particularly the Zonal and Cluster Heads, to further accelerate the number of sanctioned and disbursed cases. He stressed the importance of close coordination between departments and financial institutions for effective implementation of the programme.

While reviewing the implementation of Udyam Jagruti 4.0, the DC instructed the Colleges of the district to increase student coverage under the initiative so that more youth are sensitized about entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues. Similar directions were passed to NRLM officials to enhance coverage of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Udyam Jagriti campaign.

The DC further instructed all concerned departments to track the progress of beneficiaries whose cases have been disbursed by Banks and ensure that all necessary handholding of the young entrepreneurs towards timely completion of their projects.

Meanwhile, Labroo also chaired comprehensive meeting at DC Office to review functioning of Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) of District Srinagar established under HADP project.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised that all the 10 KKGs allotted to District Srinagar have been successfully established and 8 Krishi Udhamis have been engaged out of 10. The meeting was also informed that till date 3500 farmers have visited KKGs and registered themselves on KKG app for getting the services offered by KKGs .

On the occasion, the DC directed the Officers to ensure 100% saturation of registration of farmers on KKG App. He asked them to ensure that the Krishi Udhamis offer services related to Agriculture and allied sectors to the farmers at their doorsteps through CSCs and KUs emerge as successful Agri entrepreneurs.
