DC Srinagar reviews preparations

Srinagar, Mar 19:   Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, who is also the District Election Officer (DEO) chaired a meeting of Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of district Srinagar here Tuesday.

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the DC Srinagar held a detailed discussion with the AROs to review the arrangements being made for the establishment of Strong Rooms at designated locations for safe custody and preparation of EVMs.

The DC asked the AROs to visit their respective Strong Rooms and take up necessary measures for the establishment of Strong Rooms, besides other required works.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ARO Zadibal), Khalid Hussain Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ARO Hazratbal), Syed Ahmad Kataria and all other AROs of the district and other concerned officers and officials including Deputy District Election Officer, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz were present in the meeting.
