Srinagar, Jul 9: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today conducted a comprehensive onsite inspection of the ongoing construction works on Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) S R Gunj (Maharaj Gunj).

During the visit, DC reviewed each construction component, assessed the current progress of the health facility being constructed. He also took stock of the pace and quality of the work. While reviewing the progress, DC was apprised that over 50 percent of the works including brickwork, internal plastering, door and window framework and tile work stands almost completed with the remaining works being carried out at a fast pace.

On the occasion, DC directed the concerned executing agency to ensure accelerating the pace of works on each component of the prestigious project so that the local population is benefitted. He underlined the importance of inter-departmental coordination to resolve issues, if any, in the project to eliminate delays ensuring timely completion of the health facility.

DC stressed the importance of robust inter-departmental coordination to promptly address any issue, to avoid delay, so that the health facility is made operational at the earliest. He maintained that the health facility will strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the Shahr-e-Khaas area of the City and provide quality healthcare facilities to the residents.

During the visit, DC was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tahir Sajad; Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildar Khanyar, Zonal Medical Officer, S R Gunj and others concerned.
