DC Srinagar inaugurates public convenience complex at DC Office

Srinagar, Jan 8: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed public toilet complex at the DC Office premises.

The facility has been developed by the District Administration Srinagar to enhance public sanitation and improve civic amenities within the Amar Niwas complex with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene and public welfare.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the public convenience facility has been constructed by R&B department under the District Capex budget. He said the facility includes separate washrooms for males and females and will cater to both office employees and visiting citizens, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the District Administration Srinagar remains committed to upgrading infrastructure and amenities to enhance comfort, accessibility and service delivery for both staff and the public visiting the DC Office complex, in line with growing requirements.

On the occasion, visitors, stamp vendors and employees working in the offices housed in Amar Niwas Complex expressed their gratitude for developing the facility and making it functional in a short span of time.
