DC Shopian conducts public outreach camp

Shopian, Nov 29: In a bid to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure timely grievance redressal, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta held an extensive public outreach camp at Melhoora, Zainapora.

During the interaction, residents raised several urgent issues, including the reconstruction of the Wachi Daal footbridge, which was severely damaged during recent floods.

They also sought the construction of flood gates at two vulnerable points in the village to minimise flood risk, and the building of a bridge over the Rambiara to provide direct connectivity with Batapora Naina in Pulwama, easing travel for locals.
