DC reviews facility for elderly persons at DH Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Jan 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Sunday visited the District Hospital (DH) to review special healthcare facilities for the elderly persons.

During the visit, the DC inspected the proposed building for establishing a special facility to provide better care and support to the senior citizens in the district.

Furthermore, the DC issued directions to the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the Medical Superintendent of DH to jointly oversee the renovation of the identified building, with an emphasis on completing the renovation and maintenance work within the next 10 days.

Later, the DC also visited the Sakhi "One Stop Centre for Women" to assess its operations and facilities.

During the visit, the DC directed immediate improvements in the infrastructure and services to ensure a more conducive environment for women seeking assistance from the centre.
