DC Rajouri conducts surprise checks; 12 govt employees found absent

Rajouri, Nov 24: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, on Monday carried out surprise inspections at multiple government offices in the district, during which several employees were found absent from duty, officials said.

An official said that during the inspection, 12 employees were found absent without any prior authorization, prompting the Deputy Commissioner to take immediate action.

The DC ordered deduction of one day’s salary of all the absent officials and directed strict disciplinary proceedings against them for negligence of duty.

He further instructed all department heads to ensure punctuality and maintain proper attendance records, emphasizing that such inspections will continue in the coming days. (KNC)
