DC Poonch inspects developmental works in Surankote

Poonch, May 4: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal conducted a site inspection of various developmental projects in Surankote today. The Deputy Commissioner inspected the progress of the NABARD road construction and ongoing water supply initiatives.

Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SDM Surankote Farooq Khan, Tehsildar Surankote Akbar Hussain, executive engineers and other officers.

The Deputy Commissioner inspected the 4 km NABARD road from Jogi Morh to TCP via Dak Bunglow Surankote.  He emphasised the importance of completing the widening and blacktopping of the road promptly and ordered the demolition of any encroachments, warning of strict action against defaulters.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal reviewed the water tank construction on the National Highway to Manahasa Mohalla Surankote. He directed the Jal Shakti engineer to ensure the water tank becomes operational and supply water to the local community without delay.

The civil society hailed the Deputy Commissioner's proactive approach to enhance infrastructure and improve public services in the region.
