DC Ganderbal chairs District Export Promotion Committee meeting

Ganderbal, Jan 13: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of District Level Export Promotion Committee here.

The meeting was convened to discuss the Draft Export Plan for the Ganderbal district prepared by Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation J&K (JKTPO).

The consultant from JKTPO, presented a PPT and draft district Export action plan, detailing both hard and soft measures required to increase exports of identified products.

The DC held a detailed deliberation on the comprehensive Export Plan placed before the Committee under which 3 products have been identified/finalised as having good export potential viz Willow Wicker, Kani Shawl and Trout fish in the District.

An extensive discussion was held on the action plan to make these products of international quality to increase the income of local potential exporters.
