Baramulla, Sep 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) at his office to review the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Credit Incentive Programme (JKCIP) in the district.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, and other concerned officers.

Officials provided a detailed overview of the progress achieved under HADP and JKCIP in the current financial year 2025-26, including farmer registration and enrollment through the Daksh Kisan Portal, completion of training courses under the Daksh Kisan initiative, tracking of established units, fund utilization, and farm enrollments under Kisan Khidmat Ghars. Progress on the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan and distribution of Kissan Smart Cards under HADP was also reviewed.

DC Minga Sherpa stressed the importance of timely execution of programme activities, noting their pivotal role in transforming agriculture and allied sectors in Baramulla. After a thorough review of submitted applications, the DC approved 1,639 HADP cases and 215 JKCIP cases, empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the district.
