DBAG condoles demise of senior advocate Yaqoob Bajad

Ganderbal, Sep 13: The District Bar Association Ganderbal (DBAG), under the leadership of its President Advocate Syed Shafat Andrabi, on Saturday visited the residence of late Advocate Mohammad Yaqoob Bajad to extend heartfelt condolences on his demise.

Advocate Bajad, one of the most respected and senior members of the Bar, was remembered for his simplicity, dedication, and decades of selfless service to the legal fraternity. His passing, members said, has created a profound void in the Bar as well as in society at large.

Recollecting his contributions, members of DBAG said Advocate Bajad rendered invaluable services in District Ganderbal, particularly at the Mufasil Bar, Kangan, where he was widely respected for his professional integrity and humane approach.

As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the Bar suspended work on Saturday, September 13. No legal work was taken up on the day, symbolising the collective grief and tribute of the fraternity.

On the occasion, Advocate Syed Shafat Andrabi paid glowing tributes, describing Advocate Bajad as “a torchbearer of commitment and honesty.” Members of the Association also shared their cherished memories and expressed deep sorrow over the irreparable loss.

The Association offered prayers and dua-e-magfirat, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul and fortitude for the bereaved family. Special prayers are being organised for the eternal peace of the deceased.

The entire legal fraternity of Ganderbal has joined in paying respectful homage to Advocate Mohammad Yaqoob Bajad and acknowledged his unmatched contribution to the Bar and the community.
