Danote-Budhal road blocked after landslide

Rajouri, Feb 19: Amid the bad weather conditions, the road from Budhal to Dandote was closed for movement of vehicles after a landslide hit the road.

The landslide occurred at Haya Dandote with a heavy volume of clay and rocks fell on road stretch.

Locals informed that movement of vehicles on this road got affected due to this landslide after which the concerned department has taken up the slide clearance work which was going on when last reports were received.

Deputy SP Traffic Rajouri Poonch Mohammad Nawaz said that remaining roads are open for traffic except DKG where vehicular movement is affected to some extent but road is not fully blocked.

Deputy SP also said that road from Bufliyaz Chandimarh to Poshana is also closed for movement of vehicles.

This road also called as Mughal Road is blocked onwards Kashmir but it was kept open between Chandimarh Bufliyaz to Poshana in order to facilitate people living in Poshana and Dogriyan villages.

However, this stretch of road is also affected now and closed due to fresh snowfall.
