Locals said it has not been repaired for years and could cause a serious mishap if left unattended. An official confirmed that the bridge has been closed for heavy vehicles and that higher authorities have been informed about its condition. Meanwhile, Kangan MLA Mian Mehar Ali has assured that a footbridge will be constructed at Sumbal in the near future.
