D C Raina to continue as Advocate General

Srinagar, Nov 20: D C Raina would continue to serve as Advocate General (AG) of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, Raina was informed by the government on Wednesday to continue to work as AG as his resignation had not been accepted.

“I have been conveyed properly by top competent authority to continue to serve as Advocate General. So, I will continue to perform my duty as AG from tomorrow at Jammu,” Raina told Greater Kashmir.

Raina was earlier appointed as Advocate General to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir in September 2008, February 2016, and July 2018.

On October 18, Raina had submitted his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to pave the way for the political government to appoint a new person to the post.

However, his resignation was not accepted.
