CVPPL, GRIDCO sign Power Purchase Agreement for 624 MW Kiru Hydro Project

Srinagar, Jun 14: Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GRIDCO Limited on June 13, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, for power off-take from its 624MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project.

The agreement was executed by Umakanta Sahoo, Director (Trading & Business Development/Commercial), GRIDCO, and Amrik Singh, Group General Manager (Planning), CVPPL, in the presence of Trilochan Panda, Managing Director, GRIDCO, along with officials from GRIDCO, NHPC, and Ratle HEP.

The PPA remains valid for 40 years from the project's commercial operation date, marking a significant milestone in the region's power sector development.
