Jammu, Feb 13: Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) has strengthened healthcare infrastructure in Kishtwar district by donating two ambulances to the District Hospital. The ambulances, valued at approximately Rs 32 lakhs, were handed over by CVPPL Managing Director Ramesh Mukhiya to the Chief Medical Officer (In-charge) of District Hospital Kishtwar.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers from Pakal Dul Project, Head of Kiru Hydroelectric Project, CVPPL General Manager (HR), and officials from the Health & Family Welfare Department.

The ambulances have been funded through the Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project's Environment Management Plan (EMP) to enhance the district's emergency medical response capabilities.

"CVPPL is also providing various healthcare machines, laboratory equipment, and medicines to the District Hospital Kishtwar and Primary Health Centres under our CSR scheme of 'Health & Nutrition,'" said Mukhiya. He expressed gratitude to the district authorities and local residents for their cooperation in hydropower project development, adding that "CVPPL shall continue to pursue various social, environmental and public welfare activities."

Health & Family Welfare Department representatives thanked CVPPL for the donation and requested continued support to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Kishtwar district.

CVPPL is currently developing four hydroelectric projects in Kishtwar district with a total capacity of 3,094 MW. These projects, designated as nationally important, are under regular monitoring by the Government of India.
