CUS clinches 2 bronze medals at Chancellor’s Trophy

Srinagar, Jan 20: Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) capped a successful campaign at the 3rd Chancellor’s Trophy 2025–26, winning bronze medals in men’s football and table tennis at the multi-university sports meet hosted by the University of Jammu.

As per a statement issued on Tuesday, the Football (Men) team impressed with a dominant 16–0 win over Trikuta Group of Colleges, followed by a hard-fought 1–0 victory against Kashmir University. In the bronze medal match, CUS prevailed in a tense penalty shootout against Govt College of Physical Education, Ganderbal.

In Table Tennis (Men), CUS registered notable wins over MIET Jammu, GNDU Amritsar and MZU Jodhpur, before defeating SMDVU Katra convincingly to clinch bronze.

The achievements underline CUS’s commitment to sports excellence and holistic student development. The Vice Chancellor and other senior officials of administration have congratulated the teams, coaches and support staff for their dedication and sportsmanship.
