CUK’s IT Deptt holds lecture on AI
Ganderbal, Sep 14: Department of Information Technology, School of Engineering, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organised an online expert lecture on Agentic AI on Saturday, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof A Ravinder Nath.
A statement of CUK issued here said that the lecture was delivered by Vikas Tandon, Director and Senior Solutions Architect at S&P Global, having over 18 years of experience in the fintech sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Tandon explained how Agentic AI enables systems to take autonomous, goal-driven actions to solve complex business problems, particularly in financial technology.
He emphasised its role in enhancing automation, ensuring security, and driving innovation in the industry.
Welcoming Tandon, Yash Paul, Coordinator, Department of IT, introduced the lecture theme.
Tayumum, a B Tech 7th semester student, conducted the event, which witnessed the presence of faculty members, including Zahoor and Shahid Sultan, research scholars, students, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
The lecture concluded with an engaging discussion on the future of AI and its expanding impact across multiple domains.
Senior faculty member, Afaq Alam Khan, proposed the vote of thanks.
