Srinagar, Oct 16: Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) commemorated the World Food Day-2025 by organising a seminar on the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future,”

In his inaugural address, Dr Ashaq Hussain Najar, Coordinator, DTS emphasized the need for multi-stakeholder collaboration to tackle the persistent challenge of global hunger. He elaborated on sustainable management strategies and underscored the transformative role of modern technology and Artificial Intelligence in revolutionizing food production and distribution.

Dr. Ramjit, Dy Director R&D and Sr Asst Prof. gave a compelling analysis of the equilibrium between food production and consumption. He expressed concern over the rising consumption of junk food among Generation Z and advocated for a collective move towards balanced diets.
