CUK’s DMS holds lecture

Srinagar, Oct 10: Department of Management Studies (DMS), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) through its BizTalk Club Tabsur organised an extension lecture and interactive session on entrepreneurship titled “How to Start Your Enterprise.”

The session was attended by BBA (Hons) and MBA students and featured  Sheikh Yameen, founder of Curve Electric—a public e-bike sharing company that is redefining sustainable urban mobility in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Yameen shared his entrepreneurial journey, stating that “making a business is not rocket science.” He narrated how his startup, founded just three years ago, “has already saved over 200 metric tons of carbon emissions.” “The company recently achieved a major milestone by securing its first pre-seed funding at a valuation of USD 1 million.” Drawing from his experiences delivering talks at BITS Pilani and several IITs, Yameen emphasized that academic brilliance alone does not determine entrepreneurial success.
