CUK kick-starts training programme under Viksit Bharat

Ganderbal, Dec 26: Under the aegis of “Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of Youth,” the Department of Students Welfare (DSW), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) Tuesday kick-started a four-day training programme cum lecture series for the administrative staff of the varsity.

Addressing the inaugural session on the theme “Human Resource Management: The Way Forward,” Dean School of Languages and Head Department of Management Studies, Prof Abdul Gani, said the strategic role of human resource management is aligning human capital with organisational goals and objectives, which subsequently will play a pivotal role in the overall growth, progress and development of the country, in all the sectors. He said that Viksit Bharat envisions a brighter future for the country wherein every person not only “lives and earns well” but also contributes immensely to a “valued” and “valuable” society.

Prof Gani talked about the concept of India as a developed economy in the year 2047 as envisioned by the Prime Minister. He underscored the need to train the human resource and highlighted the significance of continuous learning and development opportunities for employees. “The training programmes, and other avenues for skill enhancement keeps the workforce adaptable and up-to-date with industry trends,” he added.

Registrar, Prof M Afzal Zargar in his address, said the human resource management includes strategic thinking, technology integration, talent management, and a focus on employee well-being and development. He said the programme was part of the events organised by the university in connection with the Viksit Bharat @ 2047, campaign launched by the Prime Minister.

Prof Zargar asked the employees to work with utmost dedication in order to realise the dream of Viksit Bharat. Legal Advisor, CUK, Dr Mudasir Bhat conducted the programme proceedings.
